Field Commander
So has anybody seen that new Field Commander game that will eventually come out for psp? If not, let me fill you in. It is a turn-based srategy game that works on the same principles as advance wars and fire emblem, but better graphics and with depth. Aside from the large amounts of teams you get to pick from, the game itself works on a grid like system where you move: tanks, infantry, aircraft, and ships and attack enemy units but moving along side them and trading blows. Because of the depth system on say water, three units can occupy the same tile: plane in air, ship on water, sub underneath the waves. Not only does the game offer some neat strategies, and lets hope, a decent story line, but the games best part IMO is the internet play. Okay, like all the other psp games you can play over local networks and whatnot, but with Field Commander you can play real time, over the internet, like any other online strat. game. You can even play over email with friends (slow but neat if you ask me). If this game becomes popular, and does indeed make it out, I think it may usher in a new variety of handheld strat. and rpg games. Although it could just as easily usher in a new era of pay-to-play games, I think this game looks pretty good even in these early shots, and I hope it does well, since I am a fan of strat. games and turn based ones. Comments?
