Im new with one question

Hi i just got a psp and it was a 2.71 with a mod chip TA-082 and i was wondering if it is possible to downgrade it.

I tried the search button but none of the topics made me satisfied to how stable it is.

And if it is possible is there a link to a tutorial.

Thank you

PS: I been saving up for a while and finally got me a psp it would suck to brick it on the first day. But im going to take the risk

And is it stable like if i do everything right it would work 100% or is there a chance it will brick my psp even if i followed the rules all the way

Ps. I found it thanks but i now just need a tutorial and a list of all the softwares necessary to make it happen that isn't included in the download.

it isnt 100% brick proof, but thats always the way with downgraders theres always a chance of it bricking, but to be able to use the 2.71 TA-082 downgrader you will need HEN-D first.

sorry for the double post but something is wrong when i did the downgrade
everything went fine until i got to the part where i had to update ver x.y.x under games

will when i looked it was a x.yz code and when i put it in it reboot it but didnt give me a blue screen. i shut it off and turned it on again and it has some categorize but not all of them like there is no internet or theme setting and all that and it only works sometimes i mean i have to turn it on and off a few times until it works

Please some HELP ME

Okey never mind i bricked my psp but i was able to return it and exchange it. My new one is v2.81 and im happy with it and not going to risk it anymore

homebrew doesnt suck, you should have looked into the tutorials made for the TA-082 mobo downgrade.
it does work, but a little screw up and your PSP will be bricked. none the less it was good that you could
exchange the bricked PSP and get a new one but next time when trying to downgrade or homebrew, take
your time and ask before doing something.

BY THE WAY.....1.50 DOES NOT HAVE INTERNET...and DOES NOT HAVE THEME...SO I THINK YOU DID A
DOWNGRADE...JUST DIDNT CHECK YOUR FIRMWARE VERSION...lol..

first off i went too far i know homebrew does not suck and thats why i want it
sorry about that

second i did check my version and it said v1.50 and it was all cool but it would suddenly have a black screen and i had to reboot again to fix it or is that normal too.

and you know i just lost it and almost throw my psp to the wall but good thing i didnt and was able to return it lol

and when i said i won't risk it again its mainly because now i have a v2.81 ta-082 so no downgrading for the moment.

one good thing i got out of it was that now i know that if i try again and brick it i can just go by another and replace the psp and return it for my money back.

you must have made a mistake downgrading as you have mentioned no blue screen came on and etc. but
none the less that was one of the risks to downgrading, anything could happen, but stick with your 2.81, is
it a TA-082 mobo too? if not downgrade it, it is alot safer if its not a 82mobo.

if its a 82 mobo then sit tight and wait for an easier downgrader to come out and use it. it would save you
the pain of doing it manually. sit tight is what i would recomment, and dont update

Ya i will never update but it kinda sucks that 1.50 doesn't have internet but i did learn that we could emulate a v2.71 on to a v 1.50 or am i way off

Okey now you guys are making me regret retuning the other one. maybe i retuned it to soon i mean it still did everything but it does shut off on its own sometimes but other then that it was fine. :(

The only problem was then i wanted to upgrade it again and tried to upgrade it to a 3.02 but nothing happened and thats why i thought it was bricked in a way.

will if they put the other psp back on the floor for sale some luck guy will get a 1.50 and homebrew goodness lol

i think they will either ship it back to sony, if you returned it as a defective unit...OR upgrade it to the newest firmware
but if they dont, its like what you said, whoever buys that PSP will have a 1.50 and homebrew-able PSP with the down
side of turning off on its own. (sounds interesting).

BTW is your psp a 82 mobo?
