The prevailing opinion is that he doesn't deserve the Nobel prize, that is what this thread is about so why not argue about how Obama DOES deserve the prize?

So ya i got nothing.

And he's probably not even a natural citizen. For some reason the investigation into where he was actually born was hushed up and swept under the rug. The guy probably isn't even an American citizen...

Neither was Washington, Adams or Jefferson.

The US constitution states: No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President

However it never defines the underlined term an today we still argue what they mean.

To compare the two is wrong much more then one level.

McCain was born in Panama. Would you prefer him for President? Would we even be having this conversation if he were?

Let's try and reign this back in.

The issue with Obama and his ACTUAL birth location is because had he not actually been born in the US, he would be ineligible. McCain was born in Panama, but not only was that area of Panama under US control at the time, but he was born on a naval base. Besides that, both of his parents were Americans, so he could have been born inside the Kremlin and he would still be eligible. Obama on the other hand had only 1 American parent, so if he actually wasn't born in the US, he would be ineligible. When all this was going on Obama never coughed up the record. But for some reason the whole issue just quietly went away...

Now that is more like it!

Let's assume Barrack was born in Kenya.

Barack's father had U.K. citizenship, his mother had U.S. citizenship. In 1961 Kenya was a British colony so Barack would have had DUAL citizenship anyways!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course the birth record shows otherwise. Barack was born in Hawaii.

Barack didn't cough up a birth record right away because he couldn't find it. $h1t happens. He didn't have a hard copy on hand and had to order one, this process can take a bit of time. The issue "quietly" went away when Barack posted a copy of this certificate on his pre-election website. I think it's safe to say at this point that the document wasn't a forgery.

I think Barack's right to become President is more legitimate than his Nobel prize, and more legitimate than the last resident in the White House.
