Wad Manager for firmware 3.4?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but for the last couple months, I haven't been messing around much with Wii Homebrew or followed any updates. But I remember after I updated, I tried to install a wad with Wad Manager and it didn't work. It worked fine before the update, so the reason why it quit is obvious. So, since that time, has there been an updated Wad Manager, or some other related app, that let's you install wads on a 3.4 system?

Wad Blocking Nintendo

The 3.4 update blocks wads from being installed. I think nintendo found out about the homebrew scene. So they took advantage of their precious console by protecting it while in fireware 3.4.

I have 3.4U and have no problem with wads. I have a wad channel installed (looks great!) and have installed/unistalled at least 200 wads.

Either sunnybubbles:

1. Doesn't actually have 3.4 on his Wii
2. Hasn't installed/uninstalled over 200 wads on his Wii
3. Is flat out a jackass for not helping whatsoever.

I'm leaning toward 2 and 3... ANYWAY

Installing wads IS possible on 3.4 apparently, but there is a bit of a process to get it to work. I found some directions over on GBAtemp. Hopefully this helps.

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=112945 and scroll down to the 'Wii Fix Guide' section.

Post back and let us know how it went.

There is a custom wad manager to allow you install the tools you need to downgrade. Just google "custom wad manager 3.4" and you should get a tutorial to show you what you need to do.

Hey Brentbizzle

You are so wrong! You think you know everything? I have 3.4U on my system. You tell me what you need from me as proof, and I'll supply it. Normally I don't give a sh*t about what anyone says, but today I'm in one of those moods. So mister know it all, YOU are the one that is wrong. Maybe you should do a little research yourself to save some face in front of your forum buddies. I can't wait for the opportunity to prove YOU are the jackass and doesn't know what he's talking about! Ha. Awaiting your reply/request for information.

Yes I am mister know it all... that's why I actually posted information on how it's done. Argument over... any further posts about your ability to install wads that does not contain directions or help on how to do so will be deleted.

Please don't delete my post Big Man!

Well mister know it all...time to suck it up.

Either brentbizzle (founding father of sh*t):

1. Doesn't actually have a clue
2. Should learn some manners
3. Is flat out a jackass for not helping whatsoever.

I'm leaning toward all three... ANYWAY

When I posted "I have 3.4U and have no problem with wads. I have a wad channel installed

(looks great!) and have installed/unistalled at least 200 wads", I thought people might

do some more research (like I did) to find the answers they needed. I didn't think some

forum admin would react the way he-she-it did.

The guide to installing wads on 3.4 (easily) done by going here:

http://www.wiiguide.co.cc/

The guide is called softmodding for brentbizzles, I mean softmodding for dummies V3.0

Post back and let us know how it went. I used version 2.3 and they have made a lot of

improvements. I'm sure a virgin wii can be up and running (easily) in less than 30

minutes.

In conclusion:
1. I do have 3.4
2. I have/can install/unistall all the wads (channels) I want
3. brentbizzle a**hole admin should ask his mommys permission before posting on this

forum in the future.

For brentbizzle: I suggest you learn as much as you can from the site I posted so you

can look like a big man to all your forum buddies. Dickhead!

I have a 3.4U and followed the Softmodding for brentbizzles. I now have loaded a few wads and now have the Wii b-loader channel, gc b-loader, and iso dump channel as well as a wad manger. All in one download.

I had to check it out as I am relatively new to this stuff, but learning fast. And posts like brentbizzles who answer questions without knowing what is out there doesn't help. Understanding all the information on Wii modding is hard enough without adding in BS from people who don't know what their talking about.

Thanks sunnybubbles for the info and the link it fastforwarded this newbies progress 10 fold.

Bulldogger, how about you mind your own business because you don't know what happened.

Sunnybubbles... Didn't even see you posted this. First of all, how the hell am I a jackass? I was actually HELPING people by finding directions. All of your posts only stated that you have the ability to install, but did not offer a single word of help. Don't believe me? Just poke around your post history:

http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopi ... ht=#136881
http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopi ... ht=#136879

http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopi ... ht=#136800
http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopi ... ht=#136705

That's 5 posts, half of your post count, stating that you personally could do it without giving any links or directions.

I never stated myself that I knew how to do it. BUT, I did post a link to some information that I felt would help. That's what I do. I help people. Check MY post history. Oh, and poke around the numerous tutorials across the site that I have written.

End of story.

I'm sorry I may not know everything that has happened, however sunnybubbles asked for posts of how things went.

My question is why didn't you link his other posts where he states he used softmodding for dummies 2.3 and installed wads on a 3.4u? From what I can tell your over the 2 noob post limit and went ape sh*t on someone who answered a question with, Yes it can be done i've done it, assuming that people will do the research. After all I can't count how many times I've seen do the research or use the search.

Well, the situation is laid out. If you think I'm a d**khead then whatever. I can't change that. I'm not here to get into a pissing match. Not worth my time, especially since I'm finally home on vacation after a year and a half overseas and may be moving to yet another country. If you need help, I'm here to give whatever assistance I can because I've been with the Wii scene since 2006, PSP scene since 2005, and figure since I can't code my own stuff then I'll be here giving as much assistance as I can.

Alex, I appreciate your support... but lets try and keep things around here a little more civil. I was out of line with my first post attacking Sunny and it snowballed from there.

This thread has served its purpose. Let it stand as a monument to absolutely nothing :)
