DOWNGRADER TUTORIAL FOR NOOBS-official thread
Okay, this should cover all questions.
MPH is the only downgrader you should be using. NO other downgrader. They brick your psp. I repeat you use ONLY THE MPH.
download this http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/3
also download the 1.5 eboot file http://files.pspupdates.qj.net/cgi-bin/ ... ,0,40,1410 and put it in PSP/GAME/UPDATE (make the update file)
1)copy h.bin and index.dat in the root of your memory stick (the root is the place where the PSP folder is, and probably MP_ROOT too)
2)Put overflow.tif in your PSP/PHOTO folder
3) go into your photo file, and select overflow, your psp screen will turn black with some white text output. Hold the power button for about 10 seconds, until your psp force quits, then turn it on again, and select the 1.5 update. Upgrade your psp. It will stop at 99% saying it ran into some kind of error. Force your psp to shut off again. Turn it on, then your psp will show a blue screen in a few different languages. Press "O" and then you should be rocking 1.5 homebrew at will!!!
