getting error 80020148 what can i do to fix it

Again, when did you get this error? Is it the UMD version or is it an ISO or CSO? Do you even get to the game and the error pops up or does it pop up when you try to start the game?

cso and yes when i try to start it the error comes up right before the loading screen

What firmware are you running? I'm pretty sure you need a custom firmware greater than 5.00 if that's what you're using. In fact, I think you need the newer 5.50 GEN-D.

i use 4.01 but i dont know how to update exacltly

@crait , sometimes it comes when ur umd thing is set to the original mode, and u have to pop in a umd, or change it from the recovery menu to M33 driver -NO UMD Required-

this is where I pop in.

download the Updater on the psp.brewology home page and DL the updater for 5.50 GEN-D3

follow its steps to updating, and if you need more live help, hit up my windows live chat thing and i can help you step by step.

should be along the lines of- 550.pbp goes in the root

update goes in game
run it
done. should be easy

Try going into the Recovery menu and disable PRX for GAME.

Yeah it has worked once or twice for me except when I was trying to get a couple of demos to play.
