Been away from the psp scene awhile, need some help!

i have a psp-1000 on fw 1.50, i really only use it for emulators (nintendo, SNES. Sega) i want to upgrade with some new CFW what are my options and which one can i get to get the most out of my psp?

You should probably go for 5.00 M33 right now as it is completely stable and a fairly high firmware.

5.00 M33 is good, but if you don't want the hassle of having to patch your newer ISOs, plus the added bonus of making a Pandora Battery anywhere, go for 5.50 GEN.

Yeah, if you intend to play newer ISO games and don't want to hassle with this, then go 5.50 GEN.
I am at 5.50 GEN right now and it has been perfectly fine.

lol, FO SHO! cool i'll try that then...anything else i should know about before making the leap? i don't need a pandora battery right?

...hmm i try to run the update and i get this(the game could not be started.(80020001))

i'm on FW 1.50 trying to upgrade to 5.50 Gen-D

am i doing something wrong?

You have to upgrade to 5.50 GEN-A first, i think.
