Battery life is just...weird...

I've been using the same PSP for awhile now, but lately I've been getting the freakiest battery problems. It'll turn of on it's own. Sometimes the screen will just turn blank or sometimes it'll show the low battery screen. When turned on into the XMB, it shows the battery is fine...sometimes. Sometimes it'll say 100%, then shoot down to 48% then shoot up to 72%, then it's just all over the place. I have some ideas to why this might of happened.

1. Battery is old. Pretty simple, it's just old.

2. Cover is interfering. My battery cover won't stay on right and can't lock in place. So it just gets stuck.

3. 5.00 M33-6 is causing it. I only got this after enabling faster read times and using a CTF on 5.00 M33-6.

Got any suggestions?

you could start by reinstalling 5.00M33 and see if that fix's the issue if not try disabling your CTF or use a different one and if still the issue persists go to your local game stop or EB games and get a new battery

Enabling faster read time effects a lot of things especially 1.50 homebrew. I have had isos, videos, and some music files not work. Just disable it hide pic1 and pic0, turn up the bus speed, and that's about all you can do. Except for isos you can remove movie seens and other things to speed up load times.
