Have a PSP I got from a friend that won't play games. Was suggested that I try home brew. After reading through some forums I am not quite following what to o. Where do I start? Do I install a new firmware to run home brew? Thnx for any help.

Well, in order to enable homebrew, we'd need to understand more about your PSP. What model is it? 1000, 2000, 3000, or PSP Go? Also, what firmware is currently installed? You can goto the "Settings" and then "System Information", I believe, in order to retrieve that.

I believe I have the ta-081 board, on the board is ic6001. What I have read about it this is the board. Most of the downgraders will work but not sure about the firmware I currently have. Is there a good tutorial to downgrade with for the 1001 with 6.30 current firmware and the ta-o81 board?
