3 MAJOR flaws of PSP Go!

despite these facts i STILL want one lol.

Image

1. The non removable battery and battery life. Sony market it as a PSP: Go right, but after 3 hours more or less its the PSP Stop. And since it can’t have a spare battery as you can’t change the damn battery. So your PSP’ing on the Go is limited and therefore flawed. P.S Why is there no battery info in the PSP Go firmware ??? Hmmm Sony wants to hide the poor battery life?

2. No UMD to Digital Download option. Ok its fine that it doesn’t have a a UMD drive. We know this. But how about a method of loading a UMD serial number or something into PSN and then download that game to your internal flash memory?

3. Wireless speed. This is also a problem of all PSP systems. This PSP Go is all digital now and focused on the Playstation Network. Buy and download the games you want. Why for the love of god, Sony do we have only 802.11b wireless speeds? 11mps. At least opt for 802.11 b/g standard? 54mbs would be fine. Even better N draft speeds, if we were dreaming…. Downloading a 1GB game on 802.11 B is very slow. It will take around 3 and a half hours to download Gran Turismo via your PSP, its a 1010mb download. Better to connect up and use Media go to download at you computers 802.11g or n speeds. Much faster this way. But if only Sony added faster wifi to the PSP Go. This wouldn’t be an issue. Hell my mobile phone has Wireless G.

Ok Discuss.

p.s i did search for a sim topic pund nuthin. so i made this one lol 8)

I think they did the battery that way to avoid (Edit-Try to avoid) Pandora.

They should have improved the battery. They didn't. They should have improved the wireless. They didn't. They should have improved options for users who already have UMD's... but they didn't.

Sometimes I wonder what Sony is thinking. The PSP Go is a great little device... but to me, it's only truly "great" if you're new to the PSP scene. If you already own a PSP then it seems like there's no reason to pick up a new one.

what color did you use?

@tyler i swear i posted about some of this. PSN (so ive been told) is planning on having ur umd code thing (wever) be entered in on PS store and then dl, but i dont know.

battery life? hell we have a PRX for all oldetr PSP's. my batterlife went from 7 hours to 11 on my slim. give us a crack and im sure we can get atleast 5. oh welll. i like it, three flaws, and only one is actuallly major. umd thing? okay wait a while. wireless speed? yeah its slow, but plug it in. the usb transfer rate is higher, so it makes up (some) all i see left is battery life. well get that later. id say battery is the worst. other then that its a beautiful system.. but hey, u can always get an itouch and save time by being LAME!!!!!!!!

I agree with all the flaws, it looks like a great device but I am optimistic for the PSP 2.

There haven't been any announcements yet, but I am just putting my hopes into it as being a better machine. The PSP Go is basically a PSP 4000, it's not a new system - just a redesign.

Personally i think the Design of the Go is great. but it has its flaws as i put in this post http://psp.brewology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16654

if those were fixed and we Could hack it. IT would be Perfect. IMHO.
