Spikes 2005 video game awards

Once again it was a big dissapointment.....It was totaly on one side. There was not one singal rpg that was nominated. Infact, there wasnt even an rpg catagory! it was all shooting and sports, how pathetic...And nintendo didnt get much glory either. Only nintendogs was nonminated..and it was nominated with other huge titles that shouldnt even be in the same catagory with nintendogs. What about mariokart DS? that game has outstanding sales and already has over 200,000 users playing wirelessly less than 2 weeks. And why hasnt it even been nominated to be in best online game catagory? because it doesnt have 'shooting' like world of warcraft (W.O.W won by the way)

geez, its so typical of spike...always shooting. And for the upcomming 2006 titles that will be comming out..They only showed shooting, and fighting games. No rpg's like the ever-popular final fantasy 12 wasnt even shown, or even spoken about.

what u guys think about it? for those that watched it...

i agree

they should have had an rpg category but thats spike. theyre almost like mtv in the way that they take things like"video games and try to put them on their network and they dont do it right, just like mtv just with music

ah, now in all fairness Spike has a very select demograph of young males, average young males. As much as many people love RPGs, me included, it happens that mature and graphic games, especially games that relate to shows on Spike are more likely to be shown. Sad but true, mainstream gamers, or at least the casual gamer is more into FPS and sports, oh well.
