Just bought a used psp, now I was told it had a 1.5fw emulated to 3.00
I looked on the top right inside the umd slot tosee if it was a TA-XXX sure enough it was not.
also on the very bottom of the psp there is a serial number that ends in psp1001.

Is this a 1.5?
also can I downgrade this even though it's been emulated to 3.00? (yes I know you can't downgrade 3.00's but it's emulated ... yes I'm also a noob get over it).

I tried running XFlash but it keeps saying my datat is corrupt or something and I read somewhere that, that would mean my psp is NOT really a 1.5. However I guess it could be seen as corrupt since I'm emulated 3.00 (or so the buyer had told me so).

so the jist of my question would be : if my fw is 1.5 but I'm emulating something else in my case 3.00 can I upgrade to the newest hacked firmware? without downgrading that is (since it's a 1.5 why would I correct?)

Any help to clarify my confusion would be greatly appreciated. Thank's for your help.

when you go to system information and look at the firmware. What exactly does it show? 3.0?

I really wish now a days people read the owners manual.

ithe system version is 3.00, that's what comes up under the system settings (sorry I should've explained but it was amusing to see how you explained that stuff lol )

also i should mention i do indeed have a web browser, i saw that to be a typical question in simular matters

sorry cant double post next time use the edit button but as of now u cant downgrade the 3.0 sorry but just wait a lil and there might be a 3.0 downgrader

I'm assuming the fact that it's not a TA-XXX and that it says psp1001 on the bottom serial means nothing?...

if so then I guess I'll be waiting patiently, damn no homebrew for me I suppose =\

officially swindled. Just out of curiosity, how long as 3.00 been out? Just trying to estimate how long it'll take, not that it matters, prolly' going to toss the psp on my shelf until it's rlsd anyway.

You will have to wait for a downgrader as stated above. Decryption is set and ready. Its been out for quite a while now, downgraders
dont just come in the mail.

BY TA-XXX he could mean any TA advanced mother board. THeres more than just TA-082 ya know

haha chill I know it takes time, and I know it was released in Nov. I don't care I'll wait, I'm not one to cry over or for these types of things as I know they take time and there done strictly for sport, not because anyone person has to.

and yeah red flag is usually a really good place to get deals, I think I just dealt with a guy who didn't know about psp's much... I was asking him several questions bout the psp in question and he gave me such generic answers so I should've known better. Guess the greed got to me, oh well, I think I'm going to trade with my cousins psp anyways. Hopefully he's up for it since he's selling his anyways =D

isnt ta-082 the hardest one to deal with downgrading tho.
