MonkeyMaximus Currently asked us to make a tutorial on how to use the Beta Pack Gen and I worked really hard on it so here ya go:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How to use the Pack Gens
What is the beta packgen?
The beta packgen is a generator (much more secure one from the original packgen) that generates cool homebrew apps or emulators or loaders (whats available on there) onto a zip folder suitable to be extracted on your PSP.
Before you read this here is a little warning, you are going to see a lot of homebrew/apps/emus etc. in a bunch of paragraphs so be alarmed lol.

The Requirements
1.USB Connection Cable (or memory stick suitable to fit on your Mem Stick Reader on your PC or Mac)
2.Memory Stick ( 32mb -512 - 1gig - 4 gig)
3.A PSP (duh)
4.Money! (to buy your stuff) (mostly for around $300 or for $199 with little stuff inside)
The Steps
Okay now on with the tutorial,
1)Go to this link to go to the BetaPack gens for starters.
    Image

2)We now need to look at the current image above.
Go there on the packgens (the place on the image) and go to the scroll bar of select version. This will be the version you will have the homebrew/apps/emulators etc. on. If you dont know your version/firmware of your PSP simply go into PSP and go to Settings, then System Settings and you wlil see the Firmware version. (for example, if your firmware is 1.50 then you would choose 1.50)
If your firmware is not above then it would be higher than 2.0. If your firmware is 2.70 or higher then you are currently screwed for now.
If yours is lower than 2.7 then we will continue on.
Once you have selected your firmware go to Pack Type and Select Zip File (the install isnt something you might want to do but its your choice)

    3) Now you have to choose whether you want corrupted files or not to be shown. This can be very annoying once your used to it so I suggest you click Hide Corrupts.

4)We now have to choose what emulators/apps/homebrew etc. you like.
By doing this we click on the check mark beside each emulator/app w.e.

    Image
Note that not all of these apps/emus/homebrew will work on a specific firmware (which most do) but if it does not be sure to have the correct firmware and read the discription if your curious:

    Image
    Image
Those are just some notes I ripped off from some of the applications.

    5) Once you have Made sure what your firmware is, you should now have used the scroll bars to tell the pack gen which firmware you are going to use, what type of file you want uploaded (zip or install) and if you want the corrupted files on your mem stick hidden or not hidden, plus you should have also check marked the apps/homebrew/emulators you want from the BetaPackGen.
You are now ready to press the cool button at the bottom:
    Image
You should now get either an install or a zip folder. If you got an install folder(windows exe):
You should open it up once it has been saved:
    Image
Click the Accept button stroked in red.
    Image
Extract the files DIRECTLY to your PSP drive letter that we figured out above. (for ex: "J:\" or "K:\")
Once you have had the files extraced on your specified firmware (must be the firmware from your PSP or else it will certainly not work and it may take a while to get to know your PSP at first hand to get the files off) then you are basicaly done!
If you have used the eloader to install your homebrew on your 2.0+ apps refer to this tutorial to learn how to use it with your GTA save game file:
Click this link for 2.0+ homebrew instructions
You are done! Well...thats if you chose to use the installer, I like to use the zip file tho.
If you did however use the zip file way like on the image below:
    Image
then you should might as well open it by now.

    6) Go into USB connection with your PSP:
    Image
to do this go into your PSP, go to Settings and scroll down until you find USB connection. Make sure you have your USB cable connected to your PC and your PSP like below:
    Image

    7)
Once you are in USB Connection a window should pop up:
    Image
Since this is not a digital camera but a PSP interface of USB, we use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down to Open Files with Folder.
Once inside you will have a new window. This is your root of the memory stick.

    8)
Now, we go back to our ZIP folder that we recently got from our Beta Packgen and we simply drag the PSP folder onto the root (what you are in right now)
This PSP folder will contain a GAME folder which contains your emus/apps/homebrew etc.
If your PSP is version 1.50 then it may look like this:
Image(The MailasEboot will just be replaced by something else because its the name of the eboot file)
Or if its 1.0 or 2.0+ then it will look something like this:
    Image
Basicaly the only difference is that the 1.50 has 2 folders (one with a % sign and one without a % sign) and the 1.0 or 2.0+ folders have just 1 folder containing 1 eboot and other files.

    Well thats about it.
If you are using a 1.0 or 1.5 then you should go on your PSP right now and go to the Game Section. You will se your emus/apps/homebrew or what ever on the Game Section on your PSP menu! Or if you are using the 2.0+ way you should go into your GTA game and then load your game (or it may automatically load) and the same things will be there! Just make sure you select the right firmware on the beta pack gens.
Once you have the files on your PSP all sorted out you are done!!!
