Anybody try it out yet? I reinstalled Windows7 on my Macbook today and contemplated putting Windows 8 on there instead to try it out. Decided not to since its not even in Beta yet. Just seeing if anyone else has tried it and their remarks on it :)

i played with it on my buddies computer. Seems pretty neat... but I think your enjoyment will def change depending on your hardware.

I could see Windows 8 being a lot better on a tablet or touchscreen PC. Which worries me.

If I'm not mistaken, it WAS made for touch screen tablets. I say this because, when microsoft started all the windows 8 videos, they were on touch screen computers and they were showing features that can be used with touch screen PCs only.

this is completely accurate. I just don't want to be stuck using a touch screen computer if I dont want to. They generally have crappier screens and large borders for the digitizers.

I agree. And I don't even care really about the fast boot. I have had so many issues in the past 14 years with Windows returning from hibernation properly that I didn't even bat an eye lol.

I set up a VM of Windows 8 on my iMac... not terribly impressed. The UI is so drastically different that I fear many consumers will be disappointed in it. Too bad.

Yeah, it would be great on a tablet, but on a good old fashioned desktop pc with a mouse, or even a laptop, it's pretty annoying. Well you could disable it and enjoy the rest of the new features, but it doesn't really have anything "OMG" to make me want to move or upgrade.
