I agree, though I enjoy the CryEngine also.

Unreal engine, just because you could basically make your own games back in the day with 2004. Haven't messed with unreal 3 or anything after unreal tournament 04 so I guess it's probably a lot better.

Aside from that it'd have to be whatever cod uses.

I've never coded the unreal engine before, I might give it a go.

Oh, and I forgot about Gamebryo, Which is my favorite. (Fallout 3/Oblivion/Vegas)

Cha-Ching!

I'd have to say that the CryEngine is one of the best, but it's still being developed as more titles come out that use it and modify/ upgrade it. It's still flawed.

The Source engine is definitely not the best, by far, but this topic is opinion-based, so anything goes I suppose. Color lighting is done well in the Source engine, but it lacks tons of modern features from typical modern game engines. I'm not saying that it isn't "modern", but at the same respect, the number of features that the Source engine can support is dismal compared to something like the CryEngine. Also, did Battlefield Bad Company 2 use the CryEngine? Judging from gameplay, it seems like they did use it/ modify it. Not sure though.
