What Is Steam?

Steam's only the most blazin', awesome, incredible thing for your computer, mannnnnn!

That...That Didnt Tell Me Anything

Okay, fine! Steam's a digital download service created and maintained by Valve, the creators and developers of such perfection as the Half Life series, Team Fortress 1 and2, Portal, and the Left 4 Dead series. The amount of games available on the service is staggering, and user features such as profiles, friends lists, wishlists, and the ability to send gifts makes it the one-stop hub for everything PC gaming.

Alright, You Convinced Me. What Do I Do?

Head on over to the official Steam site, and download the client (it's free!). Set up your profile, and post your profile name in this thread so we can play some ggammmeeess!

Woo, I'm All Set!

Rock on! Add me on Steam, and see how fast Steam empties your wallet with their crazy deals! For the record, I own over 200 games on Steam. What? Pft, I don't have a spending problem! Nonsense!

Ohhhh God, Steam's summer sale is starting, and it's bringing the pain.

Overlord Complete Pack (3 games) for $4.50

Bioshock 2 for $15

Call of Duty Pack (5 games, including World at War and Modern Warfare 1) is $30

These sales will be the end of me D:

Today's deals are pretty wicked, too. I'm still eyeballing the Call of Duty pack, but as far as the dailies are concerned:

Ghostbusters: The Videogame $4.00 (was 19.99)

Serious Sam HD: Double Pack $7.50 (was 29.99)

Resident Evil 5 12.50 (was 49.99)
