Before it was bought by viacom it was a pretty good addictive game. Now they just cater to certain people.
Funny thing is I spent 200$ on that game buying illegit items :) slopdog and darkztar thank you.

They are fun, I've just played Guild Wars, Runescape and the free trial of WoW.

MMO's.. think my first one was Runescape. Either that or RaceWarKingdoms (which is think is still going). Tried out some other stuff here and there, got hooked on WoW for a while (2 level 80's and a few high-levelish toons on other servers), and tried out Aion when it came out.

When I think about all the time wasted on WoW..

First off, welcome to the brew. Not sure if you made an introduction thread or not. Anyways, yeah, MMO's are some of the best games but they are also the most lengthy - which is good if you're on a budget or enjoy long adventures, but at the same rate, it often feels like you have to grind so hard just to reap little rewards... at least in my opinion. I never got into WoW for that reason alone, but Runescape is so hilarious sometimes that it keeps me coming back for the ridiculous community. I play about 2 times a week or less.

I did not make a post in the introduction thread, don't know if I will or not. Meh.

Also, DPM: this is the guy who handed in the resume and asked about that security bit earlier. GET ME A JOB AT TITANGAMES, BRO.

I've played a ton of MMOs (starting with Ultima Online, and the most recent being Aion), but I really stick with WoW, Lord of the Rings Online (which is going to be Free-to-play soon), and EVE Online.

EVE was sort've fun, I liked the concept but I never got into it much. Used to play FFXI when it came out with a few buddies on the ps2. But most recently I played WoW since BC came out, and now that I look back on it I sure did waste a large portion of my highschool career on that game :/ SUN was a fun game to play when you were really bored.

I will probably pick up FFXIV but I doubt I'll play it anywhere near as much as I used to if none of my buddies play it.

Most of us play it just for that reason.

I personally only play it during the summer (IE now) and it's just something to do.

I don't have a life or anything near the sort especially since school is out.
