Ubuntu Def.

also, i have found gentoo is decent too.

if your willing to go out on a limb with an expiranmental, go hit up Haiku or gOS (not google OS)

and if you can find it, but dont mind doing nothing, try chrome OS.

I've only ever used Ubuntu 9.10 I think, and it was a very positive experience overall but I demand better support for newly released titles as far as gaming goes. I have been thinking about dual booting Ubuntu 9.10 and Win 7 though, but I'm not sure WHICH Linux build I want to use.

Well, I'd go with 9.04, or what you tried, karmic.

If you have the right stuff(you do) wine can run most anything.

Uh, I can help you with most terminal commands, also, I'm a member of the ubuntu forums, but I don't post often.

I can get you some beta release products sometimes. I know where to look. Not always, but I had google chrome long before the official launched.

Hacktolive's Super Ubuntu 9.10 ... the reason : They install all the common softwares(Java,Open Office[complete], Java, Flash, Firefox, Opera, Furious ISO mount, e.t.c) along Ubuntu so even when u use the "try Ubuntu without a change to your computer" u can use those softwares..

Oh...I didn't look too clearly at it.
I thought it was someone trying to convert their Linux to a Windows.

Honestly....I tried Ubuntu 9 out. I hate it.
I just....I really don't know what to do with it.

It's just too hard for me to migrate from Windows to Linux, Linux just doesn't have the programs I want.
And believe me I've checked the Ubuntu Software Centre, I couldn't find the first 25 or so programs I use that wern't
available for Linux.

With windows.....everything is just more....how I say..accessible? Easier to find?

Not only that but it wasn't as fast as Windows, not as responsive either (key and mouse wise).

I couldn't find much development software either.
The current compilers it gives me does not compare to Visual Studio.

I could rant on and on about the things I don't like in it.
Eh......oh well I gave it a try...back to windows...

Or maybe I should put virtual pc on it and run Mac...Hm....nah shouldnt even consider an Apple product.

He probably had problems trying to install XP over his Linux...
He wanted out of linux so bad he even tried just changing the theme to XP.

I started it to see which Linux operating system was the best in people's opinions.
I then learned Linux ain't that great.

Funny huh?
