the console comes with 2 analogs just like a playstation 2 controller. Do you think the psp vita will be capable of playing ps2 games?

You were able to play PS2 games on the old PSP, so I'm guessing, yes it should be capable but you'll prolly have to do it with cfw.

Will it get PS2 games as officially made ports? Absolutely. It has everything you really need in terms of input mechanisms and it is significantly more powerful then PS2 was. I fully expect there will be ports and they will probably even be better then their originals.

But using a homebrew emulator (once homebrew becomes possible)? Nope. It might be plausible for someone to try and make or port a PS2 emulator for Vita but I still don't expect many if any commercial PS2 games will run at full speed or even at a tolerable frame rate in emulation on a Vita. It would be more of a tech demo then something that you could actually play games with.

Yeah, PS2 emulation via homebrew is gonna be impossible. PS2 emulation is barely possible on people's computers.
I'm sure there will be plenty of PS2 ports, though. PS2 games from PSN???? Hhhhmmmmmm....... I doubt it... :-/ But it is a power house capable of better graphics than the PS2.

Ummm... You don't have to use gestures... The only controls I can think of that the PS2 has that the Vita doesn't is the R2 and L2 buttons. You can just tap the back like an R2 and L2 button. You don't have to use gestures or whatever.

The sheer scale of the game. I don't know, I just can't imagine it being playable on a handheld. Call me an old man, but it just seems all this technology is unbelievable. Haha
