I am really new to this ps3 modding stuff and with this new encryption key i would like alot of help on how to do...
1. put a backup manager on
2. run homebrew
3. create modded lobbies for call of duty mw2, (any black ops hacks yet?)

The new encryption key won't at present help you, its used for signing software so it will install on a retail console, the backup managers won't work with a retail unit because the payload adds the needed syscalls for the backups to even load.

As for 2 once signed the homebrew should install as per normal and run in retail mode with the exception of backup managers.

Not sure about black ops but seeing as with the PC version there isn't a downloadable server you might be out of luck on that.

Installing the CFW is easy enough its a modified XML file from what i remember which just lists the install package option, like i said though without the syscalls added by the current jailbreak payloads you won't get backup managers to run backups.

*edit*

Let me see if i can make it easier to understand, think of it like a windows shortcut, you click it to launch any given application, now what happens if you click a shortcut when the application is is missing?

Well it doesn't work does it, think of the syscalls added by the jailbreak payload as applications, without the payload the application is missing so the shortcut won't work and launch the required application, so until the required syscalls are added to the CFW or they use syscalls that already exist in the console then the backup managers won't do anything even if signed and installed.

How long is a piece of string?

Nobody knows, the syscalls aid piracy and the major scene devs have stated they don't support piracy so it'll be down to the first person who doesn't mind a lawsuit to add the syscalls or if you have the skills you could add them yourself and never release it :)

ya i worded myself wrong but i don't agree with piracy as well i hate it when you buy a 60 dollar game and some jerk gets it for free. i use back ups for just that backing up im so paranoid that this computer is backed up onto three externals
