I'm not sure if this is an old topic but does anybody know if it is possible to play online with 2 players on ps3 with one console?

Select games can (i.e. Resistance 2).

Yep I was surprised you could do that with R2, that is the only game I know of. There may be others but not that I know of. You can't on CoD4 or 5 or MGS4.

Ha yeah I was actually trying to do that last night with R2 but was trying to figure out how to use 2 separate profiles like you could on xbox360. It got real frustrating and we gave up after a while. It kinda sucks though for my roommate cuz he wanted to rank up on his own profile for when he plays online solo.

You probably can't use two profiles as of yet, a dummy profile is simply created when there is a 2nd player with you.
