I've seen cute little customizable characters and intuitive side-scrolling and also (I assume) customizable levels that seem like obstacle courses... but, is that all that this has to offer? I mean, it sounds like a "good game" in the sense of offering a good gaming experience that is fun without hijacking cars and murdering mob bosses, but what are the biggest appeals of this game?

Well I was sorta the same way when I saw it at E3 07 and I was like, that just does not look like a fun game, but know, for some reason it just appeals to me a lot, and a lot of other people. Maybe because it has the best graphics on a PlayStation 3, or if its just so simple it looks good. I am not sure, but I know Sony has some Big Plans for it, because after the first release they will be updated it all the time to make it even more better.
Like my older brother was saying it looks like a kids game, but I had a friend over who has a PlayStation 3, had him play it and, he thought it was a pretty adult type game because it gets so hard.
