Can you run disc backups on 4.0?

I'm currently running 4.0 on my wii, running my backed up games via a hard drive. I just found out about this site and the hacks (of course right after I upgraded to 4.0). Its great being able to play my backups, but I'd rather have disc based loading than leave my external hard drive hooked up to the wii all the time. Plus, my backups seem to crash sometimes when the game is paused and the wii screen grays out slightly. Is there any way i can do this with my wii on 4.0?

Im not 100% sure but it probaly be easier to iver downgrade a patched Ios (only know about 1 of these) or downgrading your wii (easiest way IMO)

Also i use your way to play backups and believe me its faster. IMO of corse.

do yours crash too if the game goes into standby after being paused for more than a few minutes?

No i don't crash, but i do haveto take out my hardrive & put it back in to change games.
