nintendo backup disc

I found a backup disc online and I would like to know what it would be used for. It said that nintendo left it in when they sent it back from being fixed. the title is wii backupdisc makercode 01 nintendo gamecode G10E no region or update code cut its autoboot gamecube. supposedly its version 1.31 any ideas of a use for this?

As far as I know of there is not much use for the end user.
