--------------------User Generated Backgrounds------------------------------------

Since the 1.4 release, players have been able to enable backgrounds as they play.
However, I think the game is best played with a background you made.

***Heres how to make and use your own:***

Make a .png image with the dimensions 640x480

Save it as either background1.png, background2.png, or background3.png.

Put the image into the data folder in the WiiShootingGallery folder.

Make sure you get rid of the existing image you are replacing.

***How to let other people use your backgrounds:***

If you want other people to be able to use your backgrounds, please make
3 backgrounds and put them into a .zip file. Then either e-mail me the .zip
or upload the .zip to the internet and then e-mail me the link. I will put the file/link
onto the Wiibrew page for the app. Remember to only put the backgrounds into the .zip Do not resend
the entire app to me.

***How to use someone elses backgrounds***

If you want to use someone elses backgrounds put them into the data folder in the WiiShootingGallery
folder, making sure to replace the existing background images with them.

Its that easy everyone. Please do not e-mail me questions that I have already answered in the text above.

--------------------------------Known Bugs:-----------------------------------------------
I would like to publicly apologize for the lack of qualtiy found in Wii Shoot In Space.
It will become a great, fun to play, fleshed out shooter with boss battles. I would rather have not
publicly released it as is, but I needed a new release for HBC 9 compatibility and there was too much
code for it layered throughout the program to take it all out and expect a stable version of
Wii Shooting Gallery.

The screen is black for a couple of seconds when the app is originally loaded is first started.

Exiting and then restarting a game, really fast, really repeatedly, can cause a code dump

Expansion Controllers must be disconnected and then reconnected at the start of the game.

------------------------Backstory-----------------------------------------------

Wii Shooting Gallery was made as a new reason to actually own and use
the Zapper. Believe it or not, The only commercial game I own that uses
the zapper is the freebie that came with the zapper: Links Crossbow Training.
So when I thinking for an idea for my first app, I thought, 'I want a new
Zapper game'. In about an hour, I had still targets working. I added a couple
target modes and options and threw out 1.0. It didn't take long for replacement
art and icons, started rolling. Just a change in art, and I had 1.1. So one day,
I get an e-mail with Chris telling me he thought the game was supposed to be a
carnival game. He sent me a mock-up background for the game. It was pretty
good so I thought people might enjoy his background in their game. I played
around with the idea for awhile and came up with the idea of user generated
backgrounds. So I took two new target modes, the backgrounds, a couple options,
and blamo - 1.4. Quite frankly, I was sick of target games for awhile. I figured
everyone else was too. I thought back to the old shooting games I used to play
and I remembered the old NES game Hogans Alley. The basic idea was only to shoot
the badguy targets and not the goodguy ones. So it was a shooter game, but it
took a thought process. I like that. So I stole the name and idea and created
Hogan's New Alley. I also added rumbling and timing options two highly requested
options.Right before release, I threw in a simple prototype of Wii Shoot In Space.
So now we have 1.7. However, I don't feel like there's enough new content
in 1.7, so I'm holding it back from the public. Only my testers have seen it. Overall
reaction from them was fairly positive. They all had ideas for how I could make it better.
So 1.7.5 incorporated all of their ideas, a new GUI (finally!), and fixed all the bugs the
testers found. 1.7.5 came out only shortly after 1.7, so it was probably a good thing that
1.7 didn't go public. I still didn't feel like it was worth releasing publicly due to the lack of
changes since 1.4 (okay there have been quite a few changes, but not enough to bother
the public with updating). All of a sudden, I thought homebrew was gonna die. But, team
twiizers pulled another rabbit out of their hat. Thank goodness! But wait, this
also meant my boot.elf's would no longer work with the new HBC. So I had to make a
public release. Fast. Introducing 1.8 Sure the highscoring was cool, but I really
didn't want to release it until I had finished Wii Shoot In Space. So I got some
basic enemies that don't even fire back working. Oh well. At least it looks cool.
